Okay, this has nothing to do w/your post (although John and I watched SNL the other night and laughed so hard). Considering your Santa view, how do you feel about Fairies? A is building a Fairie house today (winter is coming, you know, and they need shelter at night).
Just curious about your opinion...

uh... i've never thought about that so i'm not sure what to say. what do you think? my issues with santa are based more around how i think that particular myth distorts christmas and our view of forgiveness. encouraging children to have an active imagination is something i'm all for. but i've never heard of a fairy house so i'd be really curious to hear more about the situation.
